The Disney Magic was built in two parts at Fincantieri shipyards in Marghera and Anconda, Italy. The Senses Spa and Salon is a small yet peaceful retreat, hidden at the very front of the ship, next to the adults-only Quiet Cove on Deck 9 forward. Character meet-and-greets take place at all hours of the day, in the Disney Magic atrium and in an open space by Preludes. The Edge (teen club) was relocated (from deck 2 to deck 9), its area was expanded and the amenities there were enhanced (new gaming stations, dance floor). I know some of our fellow passengers felt the restaurant was loud, but we enjoyed the show. One of the nicest and unique things about Disney Magic's kids’ club is that everyone has a chance to experience each area. While activities are organized by age groups, all children, ages 3 to 12, have access to the same two clubs on Deck 5 midship (Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab) and can move freely between them.

It offers expansive views of the ocean in virtually all directions, and if you want a soda or snack, just pop back into the Concierge Lounge. Spacious and cozy, the two bedroom suite offers a distinguished, yet comfortable option for those who desire privacy combined with luxury for their Disney Cruise. There is little noticeable difference between other verandah staterooms. While it is the same size, it is enclosed with a very large, open-air porthole to look through.
At Castaway Cay (for those itineraries that include a stop there), you’ll find two delicious BBQ restaurants on the family beach and an adult-only BBQ restaurant at Serenity Bay. Rapunzel’s Royal Table is the newest restaurant on the Disney Magic, and is so fun. The restaurant features a live show with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, and the characters even visit the tables (photos are allowed, but autographs aren’t given).
The three bars/clubs in the After Hours section are adult-only in the evenings and offer entertainment and game shows. These include Fathoms, Keys Piano Bar, and O’Gills Pub (transformed into the Tangled’s Snuggly Duckling on one night of the cruise). There’s also the Promenade Lounge which offers entertainment throughout the cruise. Room service is offered 24 hours a day, except for disembarkation day when it isn’t offered.
